I would like to acknowledge with gratitude the home of my childhood and youth: northwestern Treaty 8 territory, ancestral lands of the Dene Tha' and Woodlands Cree peoples, and southern Treaty 8 territory, home of the Dane-zaa peoples.

I would also like to acknowledge with gratitude the traditional Treaty 7 Territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda First Nations (Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Goodstoney), whose land continues to welcome, inspire and guide me.
